“The coaching program is closing,” I heard again.

I could see myself on the Zoom camera with my mouth just hanging open, but my mind had gone completely blank.

My mouth was dry. I didn’t have anything to say. (And if you know me, you know that literally never happens 🤣)

I stumbled my way through the rest of the call, and when it ended, I just closed my laptop and sat there, stunned in my chair.

My cat, Evie, was curled up on my lap, purring - completely unaware of the flip-flops my mind was doing.

Now my thoughts were racing.

What am I going to do without the artist coaching program?

I’ve been coaching other artists on how to sell their art online for the past three years.

When my art business took off so quickly, my mentor asked me to join his program and help teach other artists.

I got my start working closely with a mentor, and I owe so much of my success to that experience.

So of course I said yes. I wanted to pass that knowledge on.

I love it. 💖

Not only has coaching been an incredible opportunity for me as an artist, but it’s also been my main monthly stream of income.

“Ugh,” I groaned, remembering the new studio I had just signed a year lease on.

My finances are about to take a huge hit.

Well…I can’t figure this out all at once. But I definitely need to get into the studio and paint. My best ideas come to me when I'm in the studio.

The idea didn’t come all at once.

But I knew if I kept showing up in the studio, something would unfold.

That week, I spent as much time in the studio as I could - painting, shipping, organizing, just being in the space and letting the creativity move through me.

My mind kept drifting back to my very first collection, launched almost four years ago now.
